Pick the exact job
that matches your house.
Every service below has its own dedicated page with what comes off the truck, what fails on the Shore, and specific FAQs — or call (732) 333-7800 and describe the room.
Cabinets
Install, adjust, and refacing-level repairs for kitchens that stick and doors that will not close.
Countertops
Set a new top, scribe the splash, and reconnect the sink.
Curtain and Picture Hanging
The small job. Anchors in the stud when the art is heavy, plaster anchors when it is not.
Deck Installation and Repair
New decks and the boards, rails, and ledgers that fail first on the Shore.
Door and Window Installation
Prehung doors, sliders, and the rot under the sill.
Furniture Assembly
The flat-pack you do not want to spend Saturday on.
Kids Closets
Rods and shelves a child can actually reach, built to the ceiling you have.
Kitchen Remodeling
The carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and drywall of a kitchen, coordinated as one company.
Locks and Knobs
Locksets that line up, and the strike plate that was never mortised.
Molding and Trim
Base, casing, and crown that meet in a miter, not a caulk fillet.
Shelving
Floating shelves and closet shelves anchored into studs.
Walk-in Closets
A closet built to the room, not a kit that stops eight inches short of the ceiling.
Weather Stripping
Doors and windows that whistle in a January wind off the ocean.
Wood Repair and Wood Rot
Cut back to solid wood. Filler on punk wood is a one-season repair.
Interior Door Installation and Adjustment
Prehung doors hung plumb, and the hinge and latch adjustments that stop a door from sticking.
Trim and Baseboard Replacement
Base, casing, and crown that meet in a miter, with the wall straight enough for the profile.
Storage Closet Systems
Walk-in, reach-in, kids, and laundry closets built to the ceiling you have.
Complete carpentry repairs
& installations.
The licensed company handles the trade work and the drywall, trim, or paint around it, on one written scope.
One written scope for the whole carpentry job.
Most carpentry calls start with one symptom and end up touching the wall, the ceiling, or the floor around it. We quote that work as lines on one estimate, so the drywall and paint are not a separate company.
Decks
- New composite and wood decks
- Stair and railing rebuilds
- Ledger and flashing corrections
- Board replacement
Interior carpentry
- Doors and casing
- Crown, base, and window trim
- Cabinets and shelving
- Closet systems
Rot repair
- Window sills
- Fascia and rake boards
- Porch columns
- Spliced Dutchman repairs where a full replacement is wasteful
We inspect the cause, check what else it touched, and leave a written scope with materials and timing. The visit is free and there is no obligation to book the work.

diagnosis
Common carpentry problems we solve.
Soft deck boards
If a screwdriver sinks in at the ledger, the picture-frame boards are not the problem. We open the wet spot first.
Doors that stick in August
Humidity in Monmouth County swells solid doors. We plane, shim, and adjust hardware instead of forcing the latch.
Closets that waste a wall
Walk-in and kids' closets are a carpentry job, not a wire basket from a big box. We build to the ceiling you actually have.
Coastal-grade parts.
Pro-grade tools.
Jersey Shore humidity, salt air, and freeze-thaw cycles destroy bargain hardware. Here is what our carpentry truck actually carries to your house.
- Cellular PVC (Azek/Kleer) rot-proof trim & sills
- 316 marine-grade stainless steel hidden fasteners
- Self-adhering butyl window & deck ledger flashing
- Trex, TimberTech & MoistureShield composite boards
- UC4B ground-contact pressure-treated structural joists
- Simpson Strong-Tie hurricane ties & post bases
- Solid core & prehung interior/exterior doors
- Custom-milled base, crown & historic casing profiles
- Cabinet-grade maple & birch plywood closet systems
- Two-part marine structural wood epoxies
- Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) headers & sistered joists
- Laser levels & dust-extracted Festool saws
Carpentry questions & answers
Don't see your question? Call (732) 333-7800 — a real tradesperson answers 24/7.
Do you build decks in Ocean Township?
Yes. We pull the permit when the township requires it, set the footings below frost, and flash the ledger so the house wall stays dry.
Can you match existing trim?
We mill or source a profile that sits next to what you have. A new baseboard that is 1/4 inch off reads as a patch.
Will you repair wood rot without replacing the whole wall?
When the framing is sound, yes. We cut back to solid wood, treat the cut, and splice in.
Do you hang doors that were ordered online?
Yes. We check the slab against the opening before we cut, and we tell you if the jamb is out of square.
How do you flash a deck ledger on a Jersey Shore house?
Peel-and-stick over the wall sheathing, a metal cap flashing over the ledger, and no caulk pretending to be a roof. The band joist stays dry or the deck does not get built.
Can you sister a joist from above?
When there is no basement, we open the finish floor along the joist, sister with construction adhesive and structural screws, and put the floor back. We do not screw a 2x4 to the side and call it a repair.
What wood do you use for exterior trim near the ocean?
PVC or a primed finger-joint only where it stays painted. Bare pine on a Long Branch eave is a two-year rot cycle.
Do you build closet systems to the ceiling?
Yes. A kit that stops eight inches short leaves a dust shelf you cannot reach. We scribe to the ceiling you have, including the slope under a cape stair.
Will you plane a door that swells in August?
We pull the hinge screws, check the jamb for plumb, and plane the strike side only as much as the season requires. A door planed in August will rattle in January if we take too much.
What is a Dutchman repair?
A spliced patch of solid wood scarfed into a sill or a column, glued and fastened, then primed on the end grain. It is for rot that has not reached the framing.
How do you quote a deck board replacement?
By the framing we can see, not by the photo. If the ledger is soft, the boards are not the scope.
