Do you paint exteriors in winter?
We paint when the surface and the air are inside the coating's range. A January day on the ocean is usually a no. We will say so.
Can you remove wallpaper without wrecking the drywall?
We score, steam or gel, and skim what the paper takes with it. Ocean Township plaster needs a lighter hand than new board.
What paint do you use outside?
A coastal acrylic that stays flexible. Bargain flat paint on south-facing trim is why we get the callback.
Do you move furniture?
We shift what we can, cover floors, and put rooms back. A full house of antiques is a conversation before we book the day.
Why does south-facing trim peel in one summer?
The sun cooks cheap latex that was rolled over chalk. We wash, scrape to a sound edge, spot-prime bare wood, and use a coastal acrylic that stays flexible.
Do you spray cabinets in the house?
We mask the room, pull the doors, and spray or roll a cabinet enamel. Brush marks on a shaker door are a prep failure, not a style.
Can you paint a plaster wall in Ocean Grove?
Plaster gets a bonding primer, not the same primer we use on new board. Hairline plaster cracks get embedded tape only where the plaster is still keyed.
What happens to wallpaper glue?
We wash it off. Paint over leftover paste bubbles in the first humid week of July.
Do you paint masonry?
Only after efflorescence is gone and the water source is fixed. Paint on a wet brick wall traps the stain.
How long do you stay off a deck after stain?
Until the product says it can take foot traffic, plus a day if the marine layer is sitting on the boards. We write the date on the estimate.
