Complete flooring repairs
& installations.
The licensed company handles the trade work and the drywall, trim, or paint around it, on one written scope.
One written scope for the whole flooring job.
Most flooring calls start with one symptom and end up touching the wall, the ceiling, or the floor around it. We quote that work as lines on one estimate, so the drywall and paint are not a separate company.
Hard surfaces
- Solid and engineered hardwood
- Sand and finish where the boards allow
- Transitions and reducers
Vinyl
- Luxury vinyl plank
- Sheet vinyl in baths and laundries
- Underlayment on concrete
Tile
- Ceramic and porcelain
- Backsplashes
- Shower floors and curbs
We inspect the cause, check what else it touched, and leave a written scope with materials and timing. The visit is free and there is no obligation to book the work.

diagnosis
Common flooring problems we solve.
Spongy spots
A soft kitchen floor in a shore house is often a slow leak, not 'old wood.' We probe before we order plank.
Tile lippage
Large-format tile needs a flat substrate. We grind or fill high spots instead of burying them in thinset.
Squeaks
Screwing the subfloor and gluing the seam beats a rug. We do it from above when there is no basement access.
Coastal-grade parts.
Pro-grade tools.
Jersey Shore humidity, salt air, and freeze-thaw cycles destroy bargain hardware. Here is what our flooring truck actually carries to your house.
- Solid red/white oak & wide-plank engineered wood
- 20-mil+ commercial wear-layer luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
- 6-mil vapor barriers & acoustic cork underlayments
- Rectified large-format porcelain & ceramic tile
- Natural stone, marble & glass mosaic backsplashes
- Lippage-free leveling clip systems
- Self-leveling Portland cement compounds
- Schluter Ditra uncoupling & waterproofing membranes
- 3/4" tongue-and-groove subfloor replacement
- Stain-proof epoxy & polymer-modified grouts
- 100% color-matched silicone movement joints
- Flush oak & anodized metal room transitions
Flooring questions & answers
Don't see your question? Call (732) 333-7800 — a real tradesperson answers 24/7.
Can you install flooring in one day?
A bedroom of vinyl plank, yes. A tiled bath with a shower pan, no. We tell you the dry time before we start.
Do you move appliances?
We pull refrigerators and ranges, then reset them. Gas reconnection is a plumbing call, and we book it with the floor.
Will new floors match the hallway?
We bring samples to the house in daylight. Phone photos lie about oak versus the beige you already have.
What if we find rot under the vinyl?
We stop, show you, and quote the repair. Covering it is how the next floor fails.
Will you install plank over a soft kitchen floor?
No. We probe the subfloor. A slow dishwasher leak is the usual reason a shore-house kitchen feels spongy, and the plank would telegraph it in a month.
How flat does a floor need to be for large tile?
Within the tile maker's spec, which for big porcelain is tighter than a 1970s ranch subfloor. We grind high spots and fill lows before thinset.
Do you acclimate hardwood?
Solid oak sits in the room until the moisture meter agrees with the house. Engineered is more forgiving, and we still do not install it the hour it comes off the truck in January.
Can you match an existing oak hallway?
We bring samples in daylight. Phone photos turn red oak into something beige.
What underlayment goes on a concrete slab?
A vapor retarder the plank maker allows. A pad with no vapor layer on a below-grade slab in Brick is how cupping starts.
Who pulls the toilet for a bath floor?
We do, and we reset it on a new wax ring. The flange gets looked at while it is open.
