Dedicated Circuits and Panel Work
Kitchen, laundry, EV, and office circuits added when the panel and the load calculation support them. We do this across Monmouth and Ocean County from Ocean Township. Call and we come look before we write the scope.

Dedicated Circuits and Panel Work, on one written scope.
Kitchen, laundry, EV, and office circuits added when the panel and the load calculation support them.

What’s included on a dedicated circuits and panel work visit.
We inspect the cause, check what else it touched, and leave a written scope with materials and timing. The visit is free and there is no obligation to book the work.
What to know before the visit.
Have ready
Have the appliance or equipment details ready, including the nameplate rating in amps or watts, and know how far the new outlet is from the panel and which way a cable can travel. Note any dimming, tripping, or warm devices already happening. The first three checks are the service size and main breaker, the panel label and available breaker spaces, and a load calculation to see whether the service can carry the added circuit.
- Load calculation
- Open breaker space check
- Permit when required
- Label and test
The visit
A dedicated circuits and panel work visit starts by naming the failure, not by selling the fix. We check what the problem touched, protect the floors and the rooms below, and leave a written scope. The work is done in one sequence by the same company, so the trade that caused the damage is the trade that closes it.
What fails first on the Shore is what we look at: salt-rotted fasteners, water finding the soft spot, and the 'quick fix' that never dealt with the cause. For dedicated circuits and panel work, the tell is usually visible on the first visit, and we say what it means in plain English.
Permit
New circuits and panel work almost always require an electrical permit and inspection in New Jersey, including a service upgrade or a panel replacement. The utility is also involved in a service change, since the meter has to be released and reset. A like-for-like breaker swap in an existing panel is repair work and normally needs no permit. Permit scope is set with the Monmouth or Ocean County town before work starts, and the inspection is scheduled as part of the job.
On the Shore
Salt air reaches a panel through a garage or basement wall and corrodes the bus bars, breaker terminals, and the bonding screws. That corrosion raises resistance and heat at the connections. Freeze-thaw and coastal humidity also work on exterior conduit and fittings. Panels and enclosures are kept in the driest available location, connections are torqued to spec, and an antioxidant compound is used where aluminum conductors land.
When we leave
The new circuit is tested under its actual load, not just with a meter. Voltage is checked at the far end while the equipment runs, the breaker is confirmed to hold, and any GFCI protection on the circuit is tripped and reset. The panel directory is updated so every breaker is labeled, the cover is put back, and you are walked through what was added and which breaker controls it.
Built with
The circuit uses copper conductors sized to the load and the run distance, with a breaker matched to the conductor and the receptacle type. A dedicated appliance circuit gets its own breaker and a receptacle rated for that load. Panel work uses listed breakers made for that panel, proper grounding and bonding conductors, and an updated directory. Exterior conduit and fittings are rated for wet locations.
How soon can we book this?
Call and we usually get an on-site look scheduled within a day or two, sooner for anything active. Dedicated Circuits and Panel Work is booked from the same Ocean Township base.
Do you work weekends?
Yes. Saturday appointments are normal, and emergency repairs are answered 24/7.
Is this licensed work?
Licensed and insured, NJ HIC #13VH09886800. Where the town requires a permit, we pull it.
What if the job turns out bigger?
We stop and show you before we go any further, then quote the additional scope separately.
Will you clean up?
Floor protection, dust control, and haul-away are part of the visit, not an add-on.
Will my panel handle another circuit?
That is answered with a load calculation, not a guess. The service size, the existing loads, and the available spaces are all checked. If there is no room or capacity, the options are explained before any work is scheduled.
Do I really need a permit for a new circuit?
In most New Jersey towns, yes. A new circuit is new electrical work and is inspected. The permit is pulled as part of the job so the work is documented and the inspection is met, rather than left for a future buyer to question.
How long will the power be off?
For a new circuit, only the circuit being worked on is shut off. A panel replacement or service change takes longer because the main is off while conductors are moved. The schedule is explained before the day begins so you can plan around it.
Can I add an EV charger to my garage?
Often, if the service and the panel support the load and there is a route for the cable. It is a dedicated circuit, so the load calculation comes first. Longer runs and a detached garage can change the conductor size needed.
Other electrical jobs we handle
Appliance Installation
Dishwashers, disposals, and laundry hookups set level and tested before we leave.
Light Switches
Switches, dimmers, and the three-way that was wired backward.
Doorbell Installation and Repairs
Wired and plug-in chimes, including the transformer that died.
Fans and Fixture Installation
Ceiling fans braced to a joist, not to the drywall.
