What we provide

Complete sheetrock repairs
& installations.

The licensed company handles the trade work and the drywall, trim, or paint around it, on one written scope.

Why one company

One written scope for the whole sheetrock job.

Most sheetrock calls start with one symptom and end up touching the wall, the ceiling, or the floor around it. We quote that work as lines on one estimate, so the drywall and paint are not a separate company.

diagnosis
What fails on the Jersey Shore

Common sheetrock problems we solve.

Field diagnosis 01

Tape cracks that come back

The framing moved. We reinforce the joint or float it wider instead of caulking a structural crack.

Field diagnosis 02

Popcorn ceilings

We test before we scrape. If it has to stay, we patch in a way that does not telegraph a square.

Field diagnosis 03

A stain that returns

The leak is still active. We do not paint over a drip.

FAQ

Sheetrock questions & answers

Don't see your question? Call (732) 333-7800 — a real tradesperson answers 24/7.

Can you match a knockdown texture?

Yes. Orange peel and knockdown are everyday. A heavy Spanish texture takes a sample and a test board.

How long before I can paint?

Usually the next day after the last coat of mud is dry. Humid August days in NJ add time, and we will not rush the sanding.

Do you hang green board in baths?

We use moisture-resistant board where it belongs, and cement board in the wet area of a shower. They are not the same product.

Will the patch flash through the paint?

Not if we prime the repair. Raw mud sucks paint and leaves a dull spot.

Do you paint over a ceiling stain the same day?

No. We cut out what is soft, let the cavity dry, and prime the repair with a stain blocker. Paint on a damp ring comes back brown.

How do you match knockdown?

A test board in the same light as the room. Orange peel and knockdown are everyday. A heavy old Spanish texture needs a sample from the ceiling itself.

Why do tape joints crack at an addition?

The new framing and the old framing move differently. We float the joint wider or add backing. Caulk in a structural crack lasts until the next season.

What board goes in a shower?

Cement board on the wet wall, moisture-resistant board on the dry walls of the bath. Green board is not a shower substrate.

Can you patch from an access hole after a plumbing leak?

Yes, and we leave a clean access if the valve is still buried. Sealing the only way back to a shower valve is how the next leak becomes a demolition.

How soon can the room be painted?

The day after the last coat of mud is dry. An August week in Monmouth County adds time, and we will not sand mud that is still cool to the touch.
